Reprise, Brian May-Pavarotti collaboration noted
Blabbermouth.net, notes Queen guitarist Brian May's words about his performing "Too Much Love Will Kill You" with opera tenor Luciano Pavarotti during two Pavarotti and friends concerts over the last 20 years, the last in 2003. The concerts were held in his hometown of Modena, Italy.
It should be noted Brian May is singing, not dancing the frets. Two guys axctually excpression an emotion that's not anger, but not too sugary as to cause coma. There are som many smooth, rolling, heavy voices out there - here I speak of Pavarotti - that don't have to be directed to the lightweight market. They can just sing. So few male performers do that. They spend too much time emoting and seducing the easily impressed, the doe-eyed, rather than embracing and enrapturing themselves in their own voices
